The Bryn Athyn Historic District sits in the heart of Bryn Athyn, PA.

Driving directions

Coming from either NORTH or SOUTH, once you reach Bryn Athyn Borough, turn onto Cathedral Road from the stoplight on Route 232/Huntingdon Pike/Second Street Pike. There are large signs reading ‘Bryn Athyn Cathedral,’ ‘Glencairn Museum,’ and ‘Cairnwood Estate.’ There are parking lots located adjacent to Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Glencairn Museum, and Cairnwood Estate, and there is an additional lot across from the Cathedral along Cathedral Road.

For driving directions from your exact location try the interactive map at Google Maps.

Please note:

Byberry Road has height and weight restrictions. A Byberry Road bridge over the CSX-Trenton Line railroad tracks has a 3 ton weight restriction. There is a stone bridge over Byberry Road with a 9’ 7” clearance.

The bridge leading to Bryn Athyn from Terwood Road is currently closed. More information can be found here.

Public Transportation

Septa Regional Rail:
Bethayres Station on the West Trenton line is the closest train station to Glencairn Museum. The Bryn Athyn Historic District entrance is about 2 miles north of the station on Huntingdon Pike. Visitors can take a bus (see below), call a car service, or walk up the hill (please note that in some areas there is a only shoulder on the road and no sidewalk. Locals do walk this regularly, however).
